RATES

Lactation Consulting

Breastfeeding consultation services are provided on a fee for service basis only, with payment due at the time of service. I do not bill insurance although I am willing to provide receipts and information if you choose to submit a claim. Some insurance providers do cover lactation services, particularly with a physician’s referral.

Remember... By most estimates, it costs a minimum of $1,500 per year to provide a baby with formula. According to the journal Pediatrics*, you will also incur an additional $300 to $500 in healthcare costs. The lactation visit PLUS a nice family vacation will cost about the same!

Lactation Consultation in your home, office or hospital room:

(appx 1.5 - 2 hours + travel time) $125

A trip surcharge may apply if your location is more than 25 miles from my home office as determined by Mapquest.

Lactation Consultation at Cradle Through College Care Pediatrics Office:

(A very limited number of in-office appointments are available per week. Cradle Through College Care is located at St. Joseph Medical Center 1004 Carondolet, Suite 310, Bldg B, Kansas City, MO 64114. Complexity level to be determined by the lactation consultant.)

Office visit – high complexity / initial visit (appx 1.5 hours) $80

Follow-up Office Visit Rates:

Office visit – moderate complexity (appx 1 hour) $60

Office visit – low complexity (appx 30-45 min) $40

Breastfeeding Education:

Group Class - $50 per couple

Private Class - $75 per couple
